Last day visiting family in Waminalo, Oahu

    This is my last day here visiting my family and have fun. But today for breakfast we made butter mochi, eggs and kalua pig, and mochi pancakes. The breakfast was so good. After words we go do a little shopping at the windward mall. I had to find me a new bag, and a shirt and most of all my wrap(padael).

   Afterwards i headed to my cousins to go get my tattoo on my back with my middle name on it(kalokuokamaile). Its a tradition in our family. We all get it either your middle name or the family name which is Kupahu. It really hurt it felt like someone was giving me a lot of shots on my back. But there is 14 letters in my middle name so it hurt really really bad. But i guess it had to be worth it cause i really wanted it.

   Afterwards we went to the beach to chill out for a little bit we got the spam mucubi out and it was amazing. And the mochi crunch, and dried squid it was so good!!! But after you eat it you might have to brush your teeth it makes your breath stink. But anyways, we were at the beach chillin for a little it was relaxing.

   Before i left my family said they had a surprise for me. They went to take my SCUBA DIVING!!!!!!! I have always wanted to go scuba diving but never had the time. Well when we got to the place they explained all of it to us it was kinda boring but i had to listen for my safety. Then we got all geared out and this stuff was so unconfertable but o well. We got our air tank and than we walked out to the water and we swam a little was and went under and saw lots of pretty fish and coral and all the stuff, but we had to look out for sharks.

  Now it was about 6 and my plane left at 8 i had to head to the hotel and pack up and say bye to my family. I have to say that was the hardest thing for me to do. I head to go say by to all of my family and they are all crying and they dont want me to leave but i have to my vacation is over even though i dont want it to end. We all start crying and i hug and kiss all of them and my cousin takes me to the airport and i say bye to him and my home where i truley belong........

second day visiting family in wamilalo, oahu

     The second day here i woke up to a beautiful sunshine shining though the the window. I wake up with a big smile on my face. When i got all ready i walled outside and my cousin was there again waiting for me he had a big smile on his face. I get in the car and we head to the beach where we started to set up the luau. My uncles pull up around the same time and they have the pig in the back of the truck and all of us girls start cutting it up so we can have it done for dinner when the two boys get here.

      We start working on the hula dance we are going to do, we really work with his sisters cause we want it to be very spiecal to then. It took a while but it was still fun i dont get to do this a lot cause i am never here anymore so i am proud to do it. After we got done we heard the manapua man coming by so we took a little lunch break and we turned on some hawaiian music we played "The chant of the islands". After our lunch we waited a little bit than we hit the water and we surfted and buggie board it was so fun, its really fun when you are with your ohana!!! From a distance you could see turtles coming towards you.

      It is about 4:00 now and the boys are heading to the beach so we have to make sure everything is ready and situated. They finally get here and we say happy birthday(Hau'oli lā hānau) and all that stuff than we start our hula dancing and it is so much fun. Then a little after my uncles brought out the beer and everything when all bad so all of us went to the water away from all those crazy people. So we start to surf and my cousin thinks he was better than my(which he is) so we see how long we can stay on and of course he stays on longer.

     That afternoon we start to clean up than we started to set up the tents and stuff on the beach cause that was the night that we are going to camp out on the beach. It is so relaxing to sleep there. We start a fire and we sit by it and sing all of our family songs( red robim, kupahu, great big hole, the chant of the islands, etc). All of a sudden we all start getting up and start dancing and making fools of ourselves but it was so much fun. Than we look out in the water and we see dolohins jumping out the water and it is so cute.

   

    We start getting ready for bed because i have a big day tomorrow. I have to head home tomorrow :( , its gonna be my last time for a long time to see my family and enjoy hanging with them. From the bathrooms i walk to my tent hearing the nice small calm tides hit the shore. And stop and look at it and try to pull it in, to keep it in for a while.

      This is where i spent my first day at on the beach in the warm sun. Letting the nice warm waves hit my feet. Why enjoying this beautiful day i look to my left and see mountains the prettiest i have ever seen. Then if you looked straight ahead you will be able to see rabbit island. while being at the beach for a couple of hours i decided to hit the water, i grabbed a board and hit the waves i feel a couple of times than i got a hang of it.

      About 1:00 i when out to lunch i had Manapu and spam musubi, from the manapua truck. after that delicious meal i went to check in to my hotel it was so nice. About 4:00 i went to go see my family my cousin came and got me and heading to go get my family if you looked ahead you saw the mountians again, it was so pretty.

     When i got to my auntys house my uncle and the boys just got back from pig catching. That is something the boys do they go catch hogs and we strip them and clean them and you go in the under ground oven and you cook it, it takes about a day and than you eat it, it is called kalua pig, it is so good with cabbage. It would have to be my favorite out of all of them.

     That after noon about 6:30 we set our luau up for tomorrow. we set up tables and me and my aunt started making leis for my older cousin and his twin brother for their brother. I made a one out of plumaria flowers it was amazing it took me a while but it was worth it. When you make a lei and you putmit on someone you kiss their cheaks and hug them. You usually make them for weddings, birthdays, graduations and stuff like that.

After we finished for the night we all went out to eat. Had a great dinnar than i headed back to my hotel for a goodnight sleep so i can get ready for tomorrow. i cant wait to get back out there for the next day of great and awesome fun.
